Home / About
Three decades. Two generations. One job: keep Southeast Michigan basements dry. We're a family business that grew up under Michigan rooflines, and we treat every house the way we'd treat our own.

A note from our founder
“Water in the basement isn't normal. Most companies will sell you the same package no matter what's wrong. We don't. If the right answer is two hours of injection work, we don't talk you into a $20,000 perimeter system.”
In 1992 I started Quali-Dry out of a single truck in Troy. I'd worked for a local waterproofing chain and watched them sell homeowners a one-size-fits-all package no matter the actual problem. That's not how I was raised, and it's not how we operate.
Thirty-four years later, my two sons are on the crew — modernizing the business with new equipment and tighter systems while we hold the same standards we started with. We've waterproofed more than 5,000 Michigan basements, and most of our work still comes from a neighbor telling a neighbor.
Three decades, four pivots
From one truck in Troy to a full crew across Southeast Michigan.
Todd buys his first truck and a jackhammer, starts knocking on doors in Macomb County.
First crew added. Switch to engineered interior French drain over hawked exterior excavation.
Encapsulation becomes a full service line as Michigan housing stock ages.
Todd's two sons join full-time and are modernizing the business — new equipment, new systems, same standards.
What we believe
We install only what's needed for your home. The right solution, not the biggest invoice.
Since 1992. Recommendations based on thousands of Michigan basements, not guesswork.
Systems that follow local and state building codes — never a one-size-fits-all template.
We don't mask problems. Our systems perform long term, not just through the next storm.
The Quali-Dry promise
Most companies' warranties have more loopholes than coverage. Ours doesn't. If it leaks, we come back — even if you've already sold the house to someone else.
*Coverage and conditions apply. Full terms in your written warranty document, signed at install.
